Memorial Completion
To celebrate the life of Ryan, a former pupil of St Catherine’s CE primary school in Wigan, Mark was commissioned to work alongside year 6, 5, 4 and 3 in the production of a mosaic memorial. Ryan’s school friends came up with an overarching theme of seasons, plants and animals as they felt that Ryan always had an interest in nature.
In addition to the fantastic design produce by the children, they also rolled up their sleeves and got involved in all aspects of the mosaic which was produced from a range of porcelain and glass tiles. The work was completed just in time for the year 6 leavers performance despite the bad weather, (as the piece was made in situ counting on a great british summer)!
